诗文	班禅额尔德尼
释义	班禅额尔德尼西藏喇嘛教格鲁派的两大活佛之一。班，梵语意为“精通五明的学者”;禅，藏语意为“大”;额尔德尼，满语意为“宝”。清顺治二年(1645年)和硕特蒙古固始汗尊格鲁派领袖人物罗桑却吉坚赞为班禅(即班禅四世，前三世是追认的)。清康熙五十二年(1713年)清中央政府册封班禅五世罗桑意希为班禅额尔德尼，正式确定了班禅额尔德尼的地位。此后，历世班禅额尔德尼转世，须经中央政府册封，成为定制。十世班禅额尔德尼为维护祖国统一，反对地方分裂和建设开发西藏的事业作出重要贡献。
